1st All Women's International Open Pencak Silat Championship 2008

 

Date : 9 th (Sat) – 10 th (Sun) February 2008

Time : 10am - 10pm (daily)

Venue : Bedok Sports Hall (3 Bedok North Street 2 Singapore 469643)

 

 

Objectives:

1•  To showcase and introduce female newcomers, national and international athletes to take part in a first-ever international event.

2•  To encourage women's participation in sports as part of the fulfillment of the national sports objective.

3•  To contribute towards Sports Excellence and High Performance by:

•  Creating opportunities for women athletes to compete competitively;

•  Selecting best women athletes to represent Singapore for major international competition;

•  Providing the platform for selection trials for major international competitions;

•  Providing Key Performance Indicators for national elite training squad and,

•  Presenting opportunities to foster camaraderie with international participants.
